Trust in God's Plan

Let go of the timeline

In partnership with

Along your journey, you’ve probably felt some sort of tension, feeling like you’re doing everything you can, but still things feel like they aren’t happening fast enough. And you begin to wonder, What am I missing?

You work. You grind. You show up. Every single day.

And still… nothing.

That’s when this wave of doubt creeps in. And you question whether it’s all worth it. But here’s the truth most people won’t admit: Just because it’s not happening on your schedule doesn’t mean it’s not happening at all.

There’s a difference between your plan and God’s plan. And choosing to trust His over yours might be the most powerful decision you’ll ever make.

1. Your Timeline Is Limited-God’s Isn’t

We all love to plan out our lives ahead of time like we’ve got the whole picture. We say,
“I’ll be there by 25.”
“I’ll have it all figured out next year.”
This is how it’s supposed to go.”

But real growth comes when you realize your timeline is solely based on what you know, which is limited. You can only see what is in front of you. But, God on the other hand sees the whole thing. He sees what that delay is protecting you from. He sees what that closed door would’ve cost you.

And sometimes he holds things back on purpose-not to punish you, but to prepare you for what’s ahead.

If it was given to you too soon, it might break you. If it came before the lesson, you might lose it. So instead of trying to force it, lean into trust. What’s meant for you doesn’t need to be chase-it will come when you ready for it.

2. Surrendering Is Not Giving Up

Choose “God’s plan over mine” isn’t about being passive. It’s not about sitting around waiting for things to happen. It’s about doing the work-but not tying your peace to the outcome.

It’s knowing that just because you think something should happen, doesn’t mean it should. And that’s hard to accept. Especially when you’ve been consistent. Especially when you’re watching other get what you’ve been praying for.

But here’s the flip side: surrender brings peace. When you truly trust the process, you stop panicking. You stop trying to control everything. You stop living in fear of “what if it doesn’t work.” And instead you focus on who you’re becoming in the waiting.

3. Delays Don’t Mean Denial

You might feel stuck. You might be in a season that feels quiet, unclear, and frustrating. But that doesn’t mean it’s a dead end.

A quiet season is often the most sacred one. It’s where character is built. Where your faith gets tested. Where you develop the kind of strength you’ll need after the breakthrough happens.

So if nothing is moving right now, maybe that’s the point. Maybe this season is here to stretch your patience, to refine your focus, to strip you of the need for control. Because when the moment comes-you’ll be ready in a way you wouldn’t have been without it.

4. How to Let Go and Trust God (Practical Steps)

If surrendering is hard for you (because you’re used to controlling everything), try this:

  • Pray for clarity, not control. Ask for peace in the process-not shortcuts or certainty.

  • Detach from results. Focus on what’s in your hands: effort, attitude, presence. Let the rest go.

  • Track your growth, not your goals. God’s plan isn’t always about what you get- it’s about who you become.

  • Protect your energy. Don’t waste time comparing timelines. Just because it’s happening for someone else, doesn’t mean you’re behind.

  • Remind yourself daily: If it’s meant for me, it will find me. No force. No fear. Just faith.

Main Takeaways: Trust the Bigger Picture

You’re not falling behind. You’re not being ignored. Rather you’re being shaped.

This isn’t about doing “more",” it’s about trusting in God on a deeper level. It’s about getting out of your own way and realizing that your plan might be good.. but God’s plan is better.

Even when it doesn’t make sense.
Even when it hurts.
Even when it feels like nothing is moving.

Keep showing up. Keep becoming. And when it’s time, what’s yours won’t miss you.

As always, I wish you nothing but the best.

Sincerely,
