Have you ever felt like you are running out of time? Like no matter how much effort you put into things, they just aren’t moving fast enough? I get it. Especially in the competitive world we live in today it’s easy to fall behind. Whether that be in school, work, or personal passions it can be easy to find ourselves constantly comparing to people who are more “successful” than us. This is where the importance of being patient is so important
Message of the day:

1. The Trap of Comparison
Being in the world we live in today, with the impact of social media, it can be easy to compare ourselves to those we see doing well. We see kids younger than us who are 10x smarter and more successful than us, and that can be quite discouraging. However, if there’s one thing I realized especially being heavily involved in such a competitive space like social media: it’s that comparison steals your peace. Although we are not forcefully comparing ourselves to the people we see daily, it’s almost impossible to avoid. Something subconsciously within our minds instantly begins comparing their life to our own. We see someone excelling, and suddenly our own progress begins to diminish.
In order to break out that cycle, we must change the belief system in our brain. Train our brain to stop comparing to what we see. Although this may be hard, through daily practice, it is something you’ll eventually be better at over time. You also have to understand that growth is not a race. Just because you see someone else having fast success doesn’t mean that you’re doing anything wrong. We all have a different journey. The moment you’re able to accept that is the moment you' will be relieved of any unnecessary pressure.
2. Why Rushing Works Against You
We live in a world of instant gratification. From scrolling on social media platforms, to the food we eat, it all promotes the idea of getting the satisfaction now. We all want results, and we all want them as quick as possible. The only downside to that, is that good things take time. Patience is one of the most important things we must master when in pursuit of greatness. You must resist the urge to force things before they are ready.
The most successful people in the world aren’t the ones who found success the quickest or are the most talented, but the ones who were able to master patience. They understood that rushing can lead to burnout, mistakes, and shortcuts can hurt their longevity. This is why patience allows you to build something real and something sustainable. It’s the discipline to trust that you will make it and despite seeing no “real” progress it will happen in time.
3. Growth Takes Time
I know how frustrating it can be when you aren’t seeing any progress. You’ve been showing up everyday and putting in the work, yet the results aren’t showing like you thought they would. I’ve been there myself, posting 3-4 times a day for 6 months before seeing any results. But think about it like nature. Plants don’t rush to grow, yet over time they eventually blossom into something beautiful.
Growth should be looked at the same way. It’s happening even when you don’t see it. The time you’re investing now into whatever it is you are trying to achieve will pay off. Although externally there may be no results, you are growing as a person every day you show up. Just because it isn’t happening now doesn’t mean it won’t ever happen.
4. How to Master Patience (Practical Steps)
Patience is a skill we must master, and like any skill, you can develop it. Here are some practical steps to do that:
Shift your focus from time to progress. Instead of asking, “why isn’t it happening yet?” ask, “How much have I grown since I started"?”
Practice delayed gratification. Whether it’s in your studies, career, or fitness, train you mind to appreciate the slow and steady results, opposed to the instant results.
Stop tracking others’ timelines. Unfollow, mute, or take breaks from anything that fuels unnecessary comparison. It’s your journey, not anyone else’s.
Remind yourself that patience is an investment. The time you spend waiting isn’t wasted- it’s preparing you for something greater.
Main Takeaways: Your Time is Coming
If you’ve been feeling suck, and like things aren’t moving fast enough, take this as a reminder that “you are exactly where you need to be.” Keep working at your dreams. Trust that you’ll get there over time. And understand that the work you put in today is shaping the future you don’t see yet.
Your time is coming. Stay Patient.
As always, I’m wishing you nothing but the best.
Sincerecly,
